George Tsakanikas was born in 1977 in Athens where he lives and works. He studied sound engineering at IEK Akmi as well as music at a branch of the National Conservatory.
Somewhere in his teens he was photographing with a “child’s allowance” kodak camera, recording events, excursions, celebrations, smiles. The love for photography existed from an early age but around 2010 developed into a serious occupation. The need to broaden its horizons has led to participation in relevant seminars.
Everyday life urges him to give his own interpretation, his own story. Moments unique full of emotions that come through what he feels, lives and sees. “Investing” in journeys seeks new experiences and influences from unprecedented cultures.
He has participated in several group exhibitions while working on personal projects.
